Biological Health Services (BHS) primarily offers mycological/microbiological assessments, lab-testing, pre-, interim- and post-remediation verification testing, remediation recommendations, scope of works and document preparation for infection control and remediation of biological contamination including mould, bacteria, spore and virus loads in the airspace and on surfaces in domestic & commercial dwellings. Our services are rapid, cost-effective and evidence-based.
Specialist services for real estate agents and tenants include quickly and effectively identifying suspect or known indoor mould problems. Practical advice on the impact of mould and other bio-contaminants after flooding or similar and what remediation strategies should be applied to reduce risk to occupants. Other services include expert witness report preparation, review and consulting. Inspections involve indoor air quality and mould spore/water damage testing, assessment, risk management and preparation of decontamination works/documents and/or project management. Infra-red thermal inspections of building envelope, plant and equipment fatigue and detection of porosity and micro-cracks also performed as part of our non-destructive testing protocols for commercial and residential clients.
I provide analytical protocols for the assessment, testing and laboratory analysis of building biology issues such as mould following water damage and documentation for quantitative identification, risk assessment/management and evaluation of indoor, airborne, surface and hidden biological contaminants including particulate matter, bacteria, spores, fungi (moulds) and virus loads. I can also project manage bio-decontamination/remediation services (disinfection, cleaning and sterilization) implementation or development and implementation of ‘make safe’ and detailed scope of works for building interiors in the healthcare, education, food production, Government quarantine and residential and commercial property markets. I operate a fully equipped microbiology lab (P2 facility) in Laverton North and an aerobiology lab (P1 facility) in Toorak.
